2026 BATSBA Hit-A-Thon!

May 16th @ 12:00pm  - Vanport Fields
(
800 Georgetown Lane Beaver PA, 15009)

What is a Hit-A-Thon?
BATSBA is excited to announce our first-ever Hit-A-Thon this season — and we can’t wait to bring our community together for it! A Hit-A-Thon is simple and fun: each player gets a set number of swings, and supporters pledge a donation based on how far or how many balls they hit. It’s a powerful way for our kids to have fun, show off their skills, and raise money at the same time. Every dollar raised goes directly back into improving our fields, upgrading equipment, and creating the best possible experience for our baseball, softball, and T-ball players. Because this is our first year hosting this exciting event, we need enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a success — from measuring hits to cheering on players — and sponsors who want to invest in the future of youth sports in our community. Whether you volunteer, sponsor a player, or simply spread the word, you’re helping us build something special for our kids. Let’s make our first Hit-A-Thon a home run for BATSBA!

 Event Schedule & Activities

The festivities kick off at 12:00 PM! Come hungry and ready for a great day:

  • Concessions & Dining: Our concession stand will be serving BBQ and delicious treats, joined by Bruster’s Ice Cream.

  • The Fort McIntosh Club is providing tents to ensure everyone stays cool in the shade (or dry in case of light rain).

  • Sponsor Highlights:

    • Prime Pulls by JT and Axe to see great card selections and grab some prizes.
    • Stop by the EATON table to check out cool gadgets and purchase our new discount cards

    • Dan Hoffman – State Farm Insurance is sponsoring a Dunk Tank! For $5, you get three throws for a chance to Dunk the Coaches!

⚾ Hit-A-Thon Details

We aim to start hitting at 1:00 PM across the following fields and it takes about 1-3 minutes per kid to hit.
We expect hitting to conclude between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM.

  • Softball: Field S&S

  • Coach Pitch / Minors: Field Dull

  • T-Ball: T-Ball Field

What to Wear: Players could wear their full gear or, at a minimum, their team jersey. Team Grouping: While we aim to group players by team, groupings will depend on the final turnout for each squad.

Scheduling Conflicts: If you are in a time crunch, please locate the volunteer with the hitting roster to request moving your child up in the order.

**When players aren't at bat, we encourage them to help out in the field! For every pop fly caught, players earn a ticket redeemable at the concession stand for a mini prize.**

🕒Get Involved

  • We need more volunteers to assist.

  • We are also open to prize donations that we can pass out

❓ FAQ

How do I register for the event? There is no formal registration process! Any donation (either a flat fee or a "per hit" pledge) automatically enters your child into the Hit-A-Thon and earns them a commemorative event T-shirt.

Hit-A-Thon Instructions:

We are excited to streamline our fundraiser by going online with 99Pledges. You will be able to reach out to friends and family by email, Facebook, and Twitter, instead of going door-to-door, tracking commitments, and handling checks.

You will receive an email with a link to your child’s online pledge page. You do not need to log in or change anything. All you have to do is make a donation for whatever amount you can, and share your participant's link with friends and family. While this is a volunteer fundraiser for our organization, We are shooting for 100% participation so no amount is too small.

If you do not receive the email for whatever reason, simply search and find your child’s pledge page here: www.99pledges.com/fund/batsba.
**The email you used to register your child is where the 99 pledges welcome email will be sent to**
If you would like to update the email that manages your child's page please email [email protected] and they will be able to make that change.
